Samuel was only twelve when he became seriously ill with an infection that kept him away from school.
His family first tried to care for him at home, hoping that he would get better. But as his condition continued, it became clear that he needed medical attention. The cost of visiting a clinic and buying the medicine he needed, however, was difficult for his family to manage.

Slowly, his health began to improve.
Eventually, Samuel was able to return to school. He could once again sit in his classroom, learn with his classmates, and enjoy the simple things that had been taken away from him while he was sick.
