Recovery Does Not End at the Hospital Door

Photo accompanying Jean's story

After spending several days in the hospital, Jean was finally able to return home.

But going home did not mean that his recovery was over.

He still needed nutritious food, medication, rest, and follow-up care. For his family, meeting these needs was difficult. Much of what they had available had already been spent on his hospital treatment.

KayP Foundation provided practical support during the weeks that followed, including food assistance and follow-up visits to help monitor Jean's recovery.

Little by little, his health improved.

Jean's experience reminds us that healing often continues long after a patient leaves the hospital. For families with limited resources, the days and weeks after treatment can be just as important as the treatment itself.

Your support can help families continue the journey toward recovery when they do not have the resources to manage it alone.
