Claudine has lived with a physical disability since birth. But one of the hardest things she had to face was not her disability itself. It was the way other people treated her.
At school, Claudine experienced teasing and exclusion because of the way she walked. Over time, these experiences affected her confidence and made school a difficult place for her to feel accepted.
Eventually, she stopped going.
Then, Claudine lost both of her parents.
Losing the people closest to her made an already difficult situation even harder. Yet, despite everything she had been through, Claudine still wanted an education and a chance to build a life of her own.
Through its sponsorship program, KayP Foundation supported Claudine in returning to school and continuing her education.
Today, she is moving forward with determination. Her journey has not been easy, but she continues to show that a difficult beginning does not have to determine how a person's story ends.
